CREATE FOR LIFE: Party Time in Italy!                                            

Happy design to you! Crete For Life has recently organized two events-auctions that have taken place with huge success, in Milan on November 7th at The Grand Hotel et de Milan, and in Rome, on the 14th November 2006, at the Parco di Roma Golf Club. On offer was a selected choice of fine and important objects and lamps, signed by well known designers and donated by famous studios, as well as by the designers themselves. All profits of the auctions have gone to support the projects of Crete For Life.

This is the first of future events that would like to link the world of art and design and Crete For Life. A further proof that among the benefit of “Fine Design”, an important one is to improve the quality of life! Our lives because by acquiring a creative object, built with intelligent intuition, our aesthetic sense and daily good mood will increase. The lives of many children who, thanks to Crete For Life, will spend a recuperative holiday far from heavily polluted environment and difficult everyday existence. For those children, a holiday in Crete is a real help towards a stronger immune system: what is obvious for us, makes a huge difference to them. See the video Milano and Roma

Tempo di feste per Crete For Life, a Milano e Roma!

Happy design to you! Crete For Life ha recentemente organizzato due eventi-asta, a Milano il 7 novembre al Grand Hotel et de Milan e a Roma il 14 Novembre 2006 al Parco di Roma Golf Club divertendo tutti i partecipanti ed ottenendo un enorme successo per Crete For Life. Una scelta di oggetti importanti e decorativi, lampade firmati, pezzi unici e personalizzati, sono stati offerti da marchi prestigiosi, e personalmente dagli stessi designers a sostegno dell’impegno benefico dell’associazione. L’intero profitto delle due manifestazioni è state devoluto ai progetti dell’associazione onlus Crete For Life.

Questo vuole essere il primo di eventi futuri che vogliono connettere il mondo dell'arte e del design, e Crete For Life. Un’ulteriore dimostrazione che fra i pregi del Design c’è anche quello di migliorare la vita! La nostra, perché acquistando un oggetto che ha dentro una bella intuizione questo aumenta il nostro tasso di qualità estetica e buon umore quotidiano. Quella dei tanti bambini che grazie a Crete for Life vivranno una vacanza lontano dai luoghi contaminati o dal loro pesante quotidiano. Per questi bambini si tratta di una vera disintossicazione: quello che a noi sembra scontato, per loro farà la differenza.

CREATE FOR LIFE: Party Time in Crete!

On Friday 8th December 2006, the Jazz and Blues Band “Real Band” have played a wonderful  and highly entertaining concert in Ierapetra. Over 330 tickets were sold, many of them days before the concert itself. The atmosphere was extremely friendly and relaxed, helped by the bar stocked with a choice of drinks donated by sponsors, and by a wonderful variety of food prepared by members of Crete For Life and generously and abundantly offered to the happy public.

Everybody seem to be having a great time and “Real Band” eclectic but heartfelt choice of songs catered for all taste. During the intervals, a numbers of happy slides showed the children that were hosted last summer, and many of their friends from Ierapetra’s, reminding us all the reasons for the concert, to collect funds for next summer’s hospitality, but especially to find new friends in the community with whom to share our wonderful experience.

Venerdì 8 dicembre, a Ierapetra, il gruppo di Jazz e Blues, “Real Band” ha suonato un magnifico concerto a favore di Crete For Life. Sono stati venduti più di 330 biglietti, molti nei giorni precedenti al concerto. Durante la serata, l’atmosfera è stata particolarmente felice e rilassante e tantissimi partecipanti hanno commentato sulla particolare riuscita dell’avvenimento. Il ben provvisto bar ha offerto una vasta scelta di bevande, offerti da alcuni generosi sponsors, mentre un gruppo di amici ed amiche di Crete For Life hanno provveduto ad offrire gratuitamente una grande varietà e selezione di deliziose, ed abbondanti, cibarie ai felici spettatori.

Tutti hanno apprezzato la scelta delle canzoni interpretate con intensità e grande allegria dalla “Real Band”. Durante gli intervalli, un numero di diapositive che mostravano tanti bei momenti con i bambini ospitati da Crete For Life la scorsa estate, e tanti dei loro amici di Ierapetra, ci hanno ricordato della ragione principale del concerto, che era non solo la raccolta di fondi per l’ospitalità dei bambini attesi nel prossimo anno, ma soprattutto quella di trovare ed informare nuovi amici di Crete For Life per condividere insieme la nostra meravigliosa esperienza.

Real Band Concert, 15th July 2007

Ierapetra's Real Band has again generously donated another evening of fun and great misic in aid of the projects of Crete For Life. The children, who were spending a month's recuperative holiday in Crete, partecipated in the success of the evening with a short but hearthfelt program before the music started.

After having introduced themselves, thier likes and dislikes, they performed a number of short Russian and Belarussian poems and sang a few songs. The show was entierely planned and developed by them, with the aid of our artists in residence, that have worked with the children on every aspect, including costums and theatre sets.

The evening also included a lottery with many great prices offered by our friends from Ierapetra. The funds collected will go towards next year's hospitality of the childrens
